- Does ice & water go down every valley?
Ask them to put the answer in writing.
Why it matters
Valleys carry the most water on your roof, so worn, nailed-through or loose shingles there leak first.

- Then either a closed-cut shingle valley or an open metal valley. Switch between them on the drawing.
